Miami defeated Florida State by a score of 6-5. With the win, Miami won the College World Series. The Hurricanes were led by All-Tournament Team members Michael Neu, Lale Esquivel, Bobby Hill and Manny Crespo. The Seminoles were led by their own All-Tournament Team members in Sam Scott, Matt Diaz, Marshall McDougall and Jeremiah Klosterman. The game was played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska.
